Vitabiotics was established in 1971 by Dr. Kartar Lalvani OBE, which was later joined by Professor Arnold Beckett (his former tutor), Vitabiotics launched first product “Oralcer” which is licensed and patented mouth ulcer supplement. Followed by Omega-H3 the first potent multivitamin supplement. The company later extends to international manufacturing facilities and invested in research in various health categories such as for Pregnacare, Osteocare, and Menopause.
Vitabiotics celebrated its 25th anniversary at the House of Commons in 1996 and was marked as the leading company in Pregnacare, Menopause, Perfectil and Osteocare.
In 200 launched its site (vitabiotics.com), consequently won the DTI (Department of Trade & Industry) Export Award in 2000 for its noticeable accomplishment in export. It won the BT vision 100 Award, as one of the UK's top 100 Most Visionary Companies in 2001.Vitabiotics was awarded as Vitamin Supplier of the Year for four years (2002-2005) running by Boots, Europe's largest pharmacy chain, moreover in 2003 Vitabiotics won the prestigious Queen's Award for International Trade, also in 2004 won the DTI Innovation Award, in recognition of the Immune trial in HIV patients conducted by the London School of Tropical Medicine. In 2008 Vitabiotics acknowledged with Queen's Award for International trade for the second time, in 2009 it was awarded as Supplier of the Year by Boots. In 200 Vitabiotics became the largest UK’s multivitamin manufacturer.
In 2011 Vitabiotics introduced licensed traditional herbal medicine range e.g. Valerian & Echinacea, and Wellman Skin Technology topical skincare range. On April 2013 Vitabiotics receive the Queen's Award for Innovation in vitamin research, which make it be the first British company to receive this award. In 2013 Vitabiotics recognized as the UK's No.1 vitamin supplement producing company, at the same year, Vitabiotics won the 2013 award Boots Overall Supplier of the Year in all categories.
Today Vitabiotics extended to over 170 countries worldwide, been the top supplier of the vitamin in most of the countries around the world.
